Functional Assays
Investigating the functionality of leukocyte subsets can provide important information on disease status, the effects of therapeutic interventions and the mode of action of test compounds. Depending on the cell type of interest and the mode of action of your test compound, we offer various in vitro or ex vivo stimulation assays with different readouts to monitor the functionality of leukocytes from sources such as peripheral blood and tissue as well as cell cultures.
What we can add to your research
CheckImmune can assess the functionality of leukocyte populations and the effect of test substances by assessing, among other parameters, activation status, proliferation, survival, cytokine and chemokine production, phenotypical changes, suppressive function, phagocytosis, cytotoxicity, complement activation, and signal transduction. We have substantial experience in targeting Immune cells, including antigen-specific T cells, regulatory T cells, NK cells, antigen-presenting cells, B cells, as well as soluble systems such as Complement. We offer advice and support in selecting the right assay for your purposes and help you decide on the level of validation required.
